You fucking knew it. Hugh Laurie's tulpa is in the bunker with you, hovering over Poffy's dear departed corpse like a fucking GHOUL, and he's pulling the strings yet again.

You're transfixed by Laurie's penetrating, probably perverted glare. What does he WANT? It suddenly dawns on you that you can't hear the ACTUAL narration that the reader is reading for page 1676, because you're LIVING through that page, instead of reading it safely through your flesh jester back on 126. Ugh, why did you break your rule of not being other jesters?? Now the only narration you can hear is the one telling you your own stupid thoughts, which is this one.

You can only guess what's really going on here, which you would know if you were reading the story instead of being inside it. Laurie is mumbling something, which you can barely hear, but you BET the narrator is telling everybody what he is saying, if only we were reading THAT narration instead of THIS shitty one. It's probably some snarky oration about Poffy's demise, and allusions to how you "don't want that sort of thing to happen again now do you, mate?" It freaks you out how he has a British accent unlike Dr. House.

By hinting at what happened to Poffy, in your imaginary speculation about the true narration, you're guessing he's setting up a backstory arc ominously…
